Episode 07

Anti-Blackness and the Processes and Systems Aiding Black Dehumanization

Premiering: Saturday, January 18th, 2025

In this episode, Dante King sits down with Julie Taylor, Jaontra Henderson, and Jessica Brown to explore how White institutions facilitated the processes and systems that enabled everyday people to engage in lynching and the dehumanization of Black individuals. The panelists delve into the ongoing cultural and institutional absolution of those who commit transgressions and crimes against Black people.

When the United States Supreme Court overturned the Force Acts of 1870 and 1871 (Cruikshank v. United States, 1876; United States v. Harris, 1883), it effectively legalized and created a permission structure for White Americans—and all Americans—to commit violence against the Black community.
